Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor (Associate Director of Nursing) to provide leadership and operational support within a Behavioral Health department. This role is responsible for enhancing patient care quality improving staff performance and ensuring efficient operations across CPEP inpatient and outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan develop and implement initiatives to improve patient care quality and staff performance
• Monitor nursing unit performance and collaborate with Nurse Managers to ensure compliance with clinical standards
• Identify performance gaps and support corrective action planning
• Oversee nursing operations across CPEP inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
• Maintain systems for tracking medication errors incidents and staff-related documentation
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies regulatory requirements and patient safety standards
• Support staffing coordination workflow optimization and operational planning
• Provide leadership mentorship and guidance to nursing staff
• Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and reporting
• Promote a safe therapeutic and supportive patient care environment
• Serve as a clinical and operational resource for staff

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience including at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role (required)
• Strong experience in Behavioral Health nursing (preferred)
• Masters Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• Proven leadership communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and clinical units effectively
• Experience with performance improvement and quality assurance processes
• Strong understanding of patient safety standards and regulatory compliance
