Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor (Associate Director of Nursing) to provide leadership and operational support within a Behavioral Health department. This role is responsible for enhancing patient care quality improving staff performance and ensuring efficient operations across CPEP inpatient and outpatient services.
Key Responsibilities
Plan develop and implement initiatives to improve patient care quality and staff performance
Monitor nursing unit performance and collaborate with Nurse Managers to ensure compliance with clinical standards
Identify performance gaps and support corrective action planning
Oversee nursing operations across CPEP inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
Maintain systems for tracking medication errors incidents and staff-related documentation
Ensure compliance with hospital policies regulatory requirements and patient safety standards
Support staffing coordination workflow optimization and operational planning
Provide leadership mentorship and guidance to nursing staff
Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and reporting
Promote a safe therapeutic and supportive patient care environment
Serve as a clinical and operational resource for staff
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License (required)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
Minimum 7 years of nursing experience including at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role (required)
Strong experience in Behavioral Health nursing (preferred)
Masters Degree in Nursing (preferred)
Proven leadership communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and clinical units effectively
Experience with performance improvement and quality assurance processes
Strong understanding of patient safety standards and regulatory compliance
