Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor (Associate Director of Nursing) to provide leadership and operational support within a Behavioral Health department. This role is responsible for enhancing patient care quality improving staff performance and ensuring efficient operations across CPEP inpatient and outpatient services.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan develop and implement initiatives to improve patient care quality and staff performance
- Monitor nursing unit performance and collaborate with Nurse Managers to ensure compliance with clinical standards
- Identify performance gaps and support corrective action planning
- Oversee nursing operations across CPEP inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
- Maintain systems for tracking medication errors incidents and staff-related documentation
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies regulatory requirements and patient safety standards
- Support staffing coordination workflow optimization and operational planning
- Provide leadership mentorship and guidance to nursing staff
- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and reporting
- Promote a safe therapeutic and supportive patient care environment
- Serve as a clinical and operational resource for staff
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License (required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Minimum 7 years of nursing experience including at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role (required)
- Strong experience in Behavioral Health nursing (preferred)
- Masters Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Proven leadership communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and clinical units effectively
- Experience with performance improvement and quality assurance processes
- Strong understanding of patient safety standards and regulatory compliance
