- 12 month fixed term contract roles working at our Blue Mountains Hub
- Two roles available Production Officer Level1 and Level 2
- EA9 - 35 hour week - $102697.59 super (Level 2) and EA7 $91691.54 super (Level 1)
Are you a hands on and practical problem solver with experience working with water treatment assetsThis is an exciting opportunity to join the team at the Blue Mountains Hub operating and maintaining our water treatment assets in a truly diverse and interesting two days are the same!
These roles are expected to work across the Hub which includes South Windsor Penrith Richmond North Richmond and Winmalee.
As a Production Officer you will be responsible for the best practice safe operation and maintenance of Wastewater treatment assetsto meet EPA Environment Licence conditions requirements whilst meeting customer expectations and efficiency targets.
Reporting to the Hub Production Manager you will make a real difference through providing essential Environmental Protection to the community. This position includes a diverse range of accountabilities including office and outdoor activities while working with a varied group of stakeholders.
You will:
- Operate and maintain the plants in all conditions in alignment with Water Resource Recovery and Sydney Water frameworks including health and safety requirements quality and information management protocols incident response and business continuity frameworks
- Undertake daily water quality testing and adjust process control parameters
- Contribute to the prioritisation of maintenance and renewals.
- Execute on-site process and asset checks using available systems processes and procedures
- Manage onsite safety and works coordination through implementation of safety procedures including Permit to Work Lock Out Tag and Flow Isolation / Flow Management.
Who are we looking for
- Trade qualifications (electrician / instrumentation specialist or mechanical) or qualificationsin engineering / science or equivalent experience
- Current drivers license
- The ability to commit to working on a rotating roster inclusive of day shifts after hours standby and weekend roster
- Experience in production or manufacturing within Water / Wastewater industry is highly advantageous
- Computer skills basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable learning customised software packages
