Position Summary:
The Assistant Manager Construction & Facilities Management supports the planning coordination execution of capital projects renovations and maintenance of the built-out assets. This role works closely with internal stakeholders consultants and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time within budget and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of design and construction projects from concept to completion
- Support the preparation of project scopes budgets schedules and procurement strategies
- Coordinate with architects engineers and contractors to ensure design intent and construction standards are met
- Monitor project progress track milestones and prepare regular status reports
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Assist in managing change orders RFIs and other project documentation
- Liaise with airport operations regulatory bodies and tenants to minimize disruption and ensure alignment
- Support the Director in strategic planning and reporting for capital projects in a monthly basis
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree/diploma in Architecture Engineering Construction Management or a related field
- 46 years of experience in design and construction project management preferably in an airport environment
- Strong understanding of construction processes building codes and safety regulations
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project Primavera or equivalent)
- Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
