Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room (OR)
Location: Hobbs NM
Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift & Schedule:
- Day Shift: 5x8-Hour Shifts
- Hours: 07:00 AM 03:00 PM
- On-Call: Required (12 days/week and 12 weekends/month)
- Weekends: Not regularly scheduled
- Block Scheduling: Not Available
Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide high-quality perioperative care in a short-term acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in a variety of surgical procedures and committed to maintaining patient safety and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Prepare operating rooms instruments and sterile field for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during procedures across multiple specialties
- Monitor patient condition before during and after surgery
- Ensure adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient care
Specialty Experience Required:
- Orthopedics
- General Surgery
- GYN
- Podiatry
- C-Section
- Endoscopy

- Total Beds: 61
- Scrub Color: Navy (provided guidelines)
- Parking: Free
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Active New Mexico RN License or Compact License (required)
- BLS Certification (AHA required)
Additional Information:
- No floating between units
- 48-hour schedules not approved
- Opportunity for extension based on facility needs and performance
