JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Urban Lab in the Department of Entomology at Penn State University Park seeks a highly motivated student research assistant to performfield and lab-based research on spotted lanternfly behavior for the summer term to work 30-40 hours per week. The candidate will assist with the collection of experimental data on the University Park campus and in and around vineyards in areas of high infestation in eastern Pennsylvania. Duties will include assisting with insect population monitoring (using traps and/or visual surveys) collecting insects greenhouse plant care rearing insect colonies conducting behavioral assays and performing general laboratory biology protocols.
Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $18/hour.

This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties.
