Position Summary:
As a key member of the Samsung LA28 Olympic & Paralympic preparations team this Operations Leader will play a critical role in ensuring Samsungs efficient and effective representation as a key partner throughout the event. Reporting to the Senior Director of the Samsung LA28 Olympic Office this leader will oversee communication reporting operational excellence and quick problem-solving to support Samsungs strategic objectives during the LA28 Games.
Note: This is a fixed-contract with an estimated term ending in September of 2028
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily communications with LA28s various departments including Client services Accommodations Ticketing Showcasing Media Center Olympic Village Venues Digital OOH Finance etc.
- Compile and report all information received from these departments to ensure seamless coordination
- Review overall hotels in Los Angeles and LA28s contracted hotel list and arrange hotel inspections prepare inspection reports and manage Samsungs proprietary Accommodation Management System (AMS) for tracking hotel operations for Olympic Partners.
- Oversee Samsungs proprietary Competition Ticket Portal (CTP) to manage ticket allocations for Olympic Partners
- Communicate with Samsung subsidiaries to resolve inquiries and ensure smooth operations
- Manage agenda for weekly calls with HQ in Korea meetings with Olympic stakeholders etc
- Support research on the Los Angeles landscape including hotels restaurants key traffic areas and event locations
- Assist with B2B contacts preparation work as needed
- Support the approval process for Olympic related assets including logos marks designations and other branding elements.
- Supporting Technology initiatives with developing programs and ideas.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field
- 8 years of experience in global Sports marketing or Olympic marketing (e.g. Marketing Group of Sports Team Sports Marketing Agency Sponsorship team within a company etc.)
- Strong understanding of hotel operations ticket operations and hospitality management
- Exceptional relationship management and influencing abilities
- Excellent project management and communications skills
- Familiarity with consumer behavior trends and strategies to enhance brand preference
- Familiarity with Telecom business and Mobile devices
- Strong event management and presentation skills to influence high-level audiences
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) and ticketing tools
- Bilingual in Korean is a plus but not required

Life @ Samsung - @ Samsung - salary range for this role for candidates based in California is expected to be between $175000 and $185000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience and comparison to other employees in the role.
