Delining of the pot
| - Development of procedure SOP MOC and HIRA for delining operation
- In order to achieve the delining TAT ensure planning / availability of De- lining tools and vehicles during delining operation
- Maximum recovery of operational raw material like bath alumina & metal .
- Full recovery of iron and aluminum scrap during digging.
- Implementation of hot work committee guidelines during Chipping grinding and pot shell repair work related work
- Cleaning of the De-lining pot by means of mechanical equipment.
- To ensure safety in de lining and lining activity of the pots because it needs high technical skills.

Autopsy of the shunted pots
| - Collection of all the process data.
- Arrangements of the tools for autopsy.
- Take the cathode surface elevation measurement and plot the tropology graph
- Visual Inspection of the cathode surface and find the possible cause of failure.
- Carried out the necessary test for autopsy
- Make the autopsy report of the pots

Proper Segregation and disposal of all Delining material | - With close co-ordination of environment Department find the alternate solution for SPL disposal outside the plant
- Follow the guidelines related to the SPL disposal issued by environment department.
- Safe storage of SPL inside in delining shop
- Arrangement of the resources for shifting to SPL Disposal to SPL yard.
- Ensure No silica increase in recovered bath from shut down pots
- Recovery of aluminum scrap and sent to cast house as per plan of pot room
- Ensure shifting of MS scrap by modified trailer in safe manner

Inspection and acceptance of pot shells after repair | - Inspection of pot shell before delining and after delining and ensure No damage during delining operation.
- Providing the repair recommendation for pot shell repair and establish the repair tolerances based on lining quality parameter.
- Final acceptance of pot shell from maintenance team by ensuring Dimensional accuracy weld quality pot shell thickness

Pot shell Lining | - Development of procedure SOP MOC and HIRA for lining of the pot
- Ensure availability of skilled manpower for lining of the pots
- Assurance of right quality Relining material is being used along with FIFO system.
- Ensure all the pot lining is completed on scheduled time
- Construction of the pot with excellent quality to ensuring its pot life and maintain the good thermal balance during pot operation.

Planning budgeting and consumption of lining material | - Monthly material requirement planning as pot shut down plan and approved budget and providing yearly requirement for procurement
- Physical verification and reconciliation of lining material on monthly basis.
- Day to day material issue planning from central store
- Ensure uses of the material on first come first basis.
- Minimum wastage of lining material because maximum materials are bounded with expiry date.

Procurement & Maintenance of tools and spare and safety PPEs for lining delining & CSS
| - Planning and scheduling for preventive maintenance of cranes ramming machine concrete mixture brick cutting machine welding machine with maintenance team.
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance of Lining delining tools
- ( i.e. jack hammer pneumatic chisel vibrating needle mixer machine etc.)
- Maintaining spare and safety PPEs inventory of the Lining Delining tools.
- Procurement planning of the tools and spare for Lining Delining

Improvements modifications and civil repair jobs in lining shop | - Co-ordinate with CTS team for civil repair in lining delining shop
- Planning for all modification jobs in relining facilities
- Co-ordination with ABSTC team for lining process / material for energy and cost reduction

People Development & Industrial Relations
| - To plan and coordinate training for lining delining and CSS
- Monitoring performance and ensure for Training in concerned areas.
- Motivating staff and workmen by recognizing them for achievements
- Counseling staff and motivating them to avoid absenteeism and ensure it is regularly done. Develop a system and ensure that they do it for workmen also.
- Ensure effective grievance redresses is in place.
- Plan and establish open communication with staff and workmen.

HSE Management
| - Plan and Implement best practices in Safety Hygiene and Environmental Management.
- Ensure implementation of hot work committee guidelines
- Ensure hand tools and welding machine checking at central electrical workshop as per electrical committee guidelines
- Ensure implementation of PTW system
- Ensure regular monitoring Audits and ensuring highest order of housekeeping
- Ensuring continuous training of workmen and staff.
- Ensure to implement systems for all legal compliance
- Ensure scheduled inspection of electrical & lifting tools from competent authorities
