Holiday Camp Lifeguard Tonbridge

Location: Somerhill School Tonbridge (due to location your own transport is required unless you live locally)
Hours: Summer camp - July & August 2026 8am - 6pm 
Pay: 15.00 per hour 

What youll do day-to-day:

• Ensure the safety of all swimmers and spectators during swimming sessions.
• Supervise pool activities enforcing safety rules and maintaining a fun but secure environment.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to any emergencies providing first aid when required.
• Conduct regular safety checks on pool areas and equipment.
• Promote water safety awareness and positive behaviour around the pool.
• Maintain professionalism and act as a JAG ambassador ensuring every child feels safe supported and encouraged.

Qualifications :

Qualifications:

• Current Lifeguard certification (essential).
• First Aid CPR and AED certification.
• Strong swimming ability and confidence in performing water rescues.
• The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.

• Physically fit and capable of meeting the roles demands.
• Reliable punctual and safety-focused.
• Friendly approachable and professional at all times.

Safeguarding

This role requires compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
You must provide two references one from your most recent employer and one from a childcare setting (if applicable).
An Enhanced DBS check will be carried out as part of the hiring process and you must provide the correct documentation.
