Job Summary
Kate Furbish Elementary School is looking for aschool counselor to work withour SEL team to support pre-kindergarten to grade two students and staff. This position will begin immediately and continue untilthe end of this school year (June 24th).
Desired candidates will:
- Respond collaboratively and flexibly to student and school needs
- Use a positive and collaborative approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment
- Use a developmental and instructional approach to meet student and staff needs
- Support student and school crisis management planning
- Use effective school counseling skills to promote the social emotional development of students through individual and group counseling
- Work collaboratively with the Social Emotional Learning Team on a regular basis
- Small group and whole group instruction for social emotional learning
- Perform other related tasks and assume other duties as the Principal may assign from time to time
