Kate Furbish Elementary School is looking for aschool counselor to work withour SEL team to support pre-kindergarten to grade two students and staff. This position will begin immediately and continue untilthe end of this school year (June 24th).
Desired candidates will:
Respond collaboratively and flexibly to student and school needs
Use a positive and collaborative approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment
Use a developmental and instructional approach to meet student and staff needs
Support student and school crisis management planning
Use effective school counseling skills to promote the social emotional development of students through individual and group counseling
Work collaboratively with the Social Emotional Learning Team on a regular basis
Small group and whole group instruction for social emotional learning
Perform other related tasks and assume other duties as the Principal may assign from time to time
