WHAT WILL YOU DO
You ensure technical excellence in your projects working as an emerging leader alongside Coordinators and Project Managers. You coach and mentor junior staff. You use your independent judgement to coordinate work and excel at bringing innovative solutions to technical issues.

JOB DUTIES
Conduct advanced fieldwork on a variety of geotechnical projects including borehole drilling test pitting independent field reviews sampling observing and monitoring work practices support intrusive investigations
Conduct site visit for slope stability assessment Karst evaluation foundation inspection subgrade inspection or pavement condition survey.
Collect field data including interviewing third parties and collecting photographs and conduct data analysis and interpretation and with project leads support geotechnical recommendations.
Support environmental hydrogeological scope of work when the project involves multiple service lines.
Prepare technical documentation ie. Drafting borehole/test pit logs field observation reports.
Be aware of related expenditure expectations and notify the appropriate project team member of variances from plan.
Support resolving logistical challenges in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Participate in planning design implementation and maintenance of projects.
Manage and document equipment maintenance.
Track essential equipment materials and supplies.
Support more senior project team members in client relations by ensuring they have up-to-date information on technical matters.
Support proposal development and client presentations.
Ensure to complete project scope within general accordance with all applicable codes and regulations.
Ensure project tasks are coordinated and completed in compliance with SOPs and industry standards.
Lead quality control initiative and support audits.
Lead technical aspects of projects and resolve complex issues independently or in collaboration with senior staff.
Train and mentor junior technical staff according to standards set by senior staff.
Deliver training and promote professional development.
Adhere to health and safety standards and applicable legislative requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related discipline such as science or engineering environmental construction.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience at the geotechnical technician / technologist level.
Knowledge of related legislation and regulations.
Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge with a drive to succeed.
Familiar with industry standard geotechnical investigation methodologies monitoring well testing physical soil testing and topographic survey equipment.
Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills with the ability to listen and clarify.
Experience with a consulting environment is an asset.
Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite TEAMS borehole logging tools and other project-related software and databases.
Ability to work independently while also being able to collaborate as part of a team.â
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with team and contractors.
Good customer service orientation.
Flexible and adaptable to changing needs.
A high level of integrity ability to maintain confidentiality and pride in quality work.
Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
