Geotechnical Engineer DirectorLead

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to oversee and expand our geotechnical engineering practice. This position is ideal for an experienced professional who excels at team leadership client relationship management business growth and technical oversight within the geotechnical sector.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary consulting organization the successful candidate will play a key role in guiding project delivery supporting operational excellence and driving the continued growth of the geotechnical division.

• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous professional development.
  
• Identify market opportunities and contribute to the expansion of geotechnical services through strategic planning and client engagement initiatives.
  
• Establish and strengthen relationships with developers municipalities contractors and other industry stakeholders to support long-term business growth.
  
• Represent the organization at professional associations conferences and industry functions to enhance visibility and generate new opportunities.
  
• Provide leadership in the planning execution and review of geotechnical investigations field programs and laboratory testing activities.
  
• Oversee technical deliverables ensuring engineering solutions are practical accurate and aligned with project objectives.
  
• Drive improvements in project execution resource utilization quality assurance and health and safety performance.
  
• Support regional operations by collaborating with senior leadership on organizational objectives staffing strategies and business priorities.
  
• Review project risks schedules budgets and resource requirements to ensure successful project outcomes.
  
• Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends regulatory requirements and emerging technologies to support innovation and service excellence.
  

Required Skills:

- background in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering - 15yrs experience in Geotechnical consulting or similar field - proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills - preference to P Eng / P Geo eligible or licensed

Required Education:

- Background in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering- 15 years experience in Geotechnical consulting or similar field- Eligibility or licensed (preferred) as a P. Eng. or P. Ontario
