The Impact That You Will Make
The Junior Buyer/Planner role is critical to the evolution of ARMI into a GMP manufacturing this role you will support the current Process Development Operations and a growing CDMO team through execution of purchasing receiving and materials coordination activities across a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for ensuring materials supplies equipment and services move efficiently from request to receipt while supporting compliance with internal procedures and project timelines. The Junior Buyer/Planner will work closely with internal stakeholders suppliers finance and receiving to resolve issues improve processes and participate in continuous improvement efforts. This role will also be actively involved in the role out of Rockwells PharmaSuite MES system. Reporting to BioFabUSAs Sr. Director of Operations you will contribute to the operational success of both a high performing Laboratory Support team and a growing CDMO team.
Your Role
- Tactically support the current Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) by executing day-to-day purchasing activities including obtaining quotes creating purchase requests placing orders tracking status supplier follow up invoice reconciliation and order returns.
- Engage with project teams to develop material lists expected usage procurement plans and obtain competitive quotes to achieve optimal balance between cost quality and delivery.
- Monitor status of purchase order process to ensure on time delivery (timely resolution and communication of purchase requisition approvals purchase order placement order confirmation receipt invoice return and quality issues).
- Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify practical solutions to material availability issues including alternate pack sizes substitute options or order updates when needed.
- Maintain ARMIs cloud-based Procurement system (Prendio) as directed
- Expedite materials deliveries as needed and explore other options with suppliers to avoid late deliveries and stock-outs.
- Support inventory management and replenishment processes including consumables purchasing and Kanban or Min/Max workflows.
- Help maintain and improve procurement and receiving SOPs standard work and related documentation to drive consistency compliance and process improvement.
Your Skills and Experiences
- High school diploma required associates or bachelors degree in supply chain Business Operations or a Healthcare related field preferred.
- Experience in purchasing procurement receiving inventory control materials coordination or a related operational role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to execute defined processes with minimal supervision.
- Experience working in an SOP driven regulated or compliance focused environment preferred.
- Experience with inventory systems Kanban or Min/Max replenishment processes.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs including occasional overhead lifting is required.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel PowerPoint outlook and Teams.
- Previous working experience with cloud based P2P systems.
