Position Summary:
Operates trucks of varying size to transport pontoons frames outboard motors life jackets ice chests and supplies to Diamond Creek launch location. Drives to pick-up point at Stone Cove to retrieve equipment at end of raft trip. Assists crew in loading and unloading equipment and supplies onto transports and into and out of river. On trip to launch point and pick up point polices roadside for trash and debris. Responsible for monitoring vehicle fluid levels and completing maintenance logs. Keeps vehicles clean wipes seats cleans windows washes vehicle and empties trash. Provides outstanding customer service.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Ability to operate trucks of varying sizes in a safe manner.
- Physically able to assist with loading and unloading all equipment pontoons frames outboard motors etc.
- Ability to communicate in a clear concise manner.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment for long periods of time.
- Ability to monitor vehicle fluid levels and clean vehicles.
- Ability to work in a team environment multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships.
- Ability to perform strenuous activities and lift heavy loads.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate pick-up trucks of varying sizes transporting pontoons outboard motors life jackets ice chests etc. to the Diamond Creek location and then pick-up to transport back to the shop from Stone Cove.
- Assist river crew in both loading and unloading of all items at launch point and pick-up point.
- Police roadside for trash and debris on return from Diamond Creek and on the way to Stone Cove if time permits.
- Monitor fluid levels of oil transmission differential brakes etc. and fill as needed at the beginning and end of shift. Complete maintenance log for vehicle.
- Maintain clean vehicles by washing wiping seats cleaning windows and emptying trash as needed.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Good oral communication skills.
- Valid Drivers License with clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
Working Conditions:
Position requires ability to work outdoors for long periods of time regardless of weather conditions. Must be able to work varying schedules weekends and holidays. Must be able to perform strenuous activities and lift heavy loads.
Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug screen and extensive background check may be required.
