Room Attendant (Casual)

As a Room Attendant you are a valuable member of the housekeeping team responsible for ensuring guest rooms are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. You will take pride in delivering well-prepared comfortable rooms while paying close attention to detail.

You will work both independently and as part of a team while maintaining a professional and courteous approach when interacting with guests and supporting their needs where required.

Duties

• Clean guest rooms storage areas and corridors to the required standard as allocated.
• Replenish guest supplies and bathroom/room amenities in line with room type standards.
• Report any lost property in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Carry out scheduled and routine cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Handle guest laundry in compliance with hotel policy.
• Use clean and maintain equipment properly reporting any faults as per procedure.
• Ensure all departmental equipment is kept in good working condition.
• Assist with regular stocktakes of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain security of keys and guest rooms at all times following all security procedures. Report any suspicious activity or items to a supervisor.
• Follow correct usage handling and storage of cleaning chemicals in accordance with health and safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in a similar role (such as Room Attendant Cleaner or Housekeeping Attendant) is preferred
• Possess a warm friendly and professional communication style ensuring guests and team members feel comfortable and welcomed
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently manage time effectively and take pride in delivering high-quality room presentation
• Physically fit and adaptable with the ability to work in a variety of environments including guest rooms corridors and service areas involving tasks such as lifting bending and prolonged standing
