Lecturer Level B Clinical Psychology
Job Summary
As a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology you will contribute to high quality teaching clinical training and impactful research within the School of Applied Psychology. You will play a key role in delivering an exceptional student experience and strengthening the Schools engagement with industry and community partners.
As a Lecturer you will:
- Deliver engaging student centred teaching across undergraduate psychology and counselling and postgraduate clinical and professional psychology programs.
- Provide high quality clinical supervision to postgraduate students and support strong outcomes for Honours and HDR candidates.
- Build a program of research that produces high quality outputs demonstrates real world impact and supports the pursuit of external funding.
- Contribute to course coordination academic administration and continuous improvement of teaching practice through scholarly and professional development activities.
- Foster positive respectful relationships with students colleagues industry and community partners to enhance learning employability and the Schools external profile.
This is a continuing full time position primarily based at either Griffith University Gold Coast or Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Griffith Universitys sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $117076 - $139031 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $136979 - $162667 per annum.
Qualifications :
You are an emerging clinical psychology academic who brings strong professional training a commitment to evidence based practice and a passion for supporting the development of future clinicians and researchers. You demonstrate high quality teaching and clinical supervision contribute to a growing research profile and thrive in collaborative student centred academic environments.
To be successful you will have:
- A doctoral qualification in clinical psychology (or related field) registration as a psychologist with AHPRA and endorsement in clinical psychology.
- Eligibility to provide supervision in accordance with Psychology Board of Australia requirements.
- Demonstrated capability in delivering high quality teaching studentcentred learning and effective clinical supervision within psychology programs.
- A developing research track record with high quality outputs and clear potential for impact and future funding success.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills that support positive student experiences and productive engagement with colleagues industry and community partners.
