Job Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for leading the planning execution and sustainment of continuous improvement initiatives across the organization to enhance operational efficiency reduce waste and drive measurable cost savings. Leveraging Lean methodologies and advanced problem-solving techniques this role plays a key part in cultivating a continuous improvement culture at all levels. The CI Engineer will drive the development and implementation of standardized processes and ensure alignment with operational goals. This position also provides senior-level guidance and performs select administrative functions to support the production and operations departments.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the liaison between engineering facilities to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Track part requisitions and manage work order (W/O) project management analysis and dashboards.
- Administer Limble CMMS functions to optimize maintenance and operational workflows.
- Lead continuous improvement projects focused on existing equipment and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Analyze equipment capacity to identify bottlenecks and support resource planning.
- Drive inventory process improvements and implement streamlined procedures.
- Conduct research on new technologies to support innovation and process upgrades.
- Develop and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in industrial engineering Engineering or a related technical field required.
- Health and Safety and HACCP certifications preferred.
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook); knowledge of CAD or AutoCAD is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Health and Safety regulations Food Safety standards and HACCP principles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of legislative requirements to maintain compliance with relevant statutes in food production and distribution industries.
- Proven ability to lead motivate and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent project management analytical time management and organizational skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; capable of presenting information clearly and effectively.

Working Environment:
- Hours of work may vary depending on business needs
- This job operates in a clerical office setting. Moderate work in a refrigerated warehouse where temperatures range. The noise level in the work environment can be loud due to packaging machinery and forklift truck operation.
- Role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines. Specific vision capabilities required; employee is to work in front of a computer sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods is required.
- The position requires the ability to regularly lift to 30-pounds occasionally up to 50-pounds.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a salary range of $55K $65K CAD annually commensurate with experience skills and internal equity.
