As a Lead Data Platforms Engineering you will:
- Lead platform operations: Manage and optimise data platforms ensuring performance reliability and continuous improvement.
- Deliver modern scalable solutions: Drive initiatives to enhance data storage processing integration and long-term sustainability.
- Oversee engineering services: Lead the development and operation of data pipelines environments and platform services to support enterprise reporting and analytics needs.
- Strengthen engineering practices and governance: Establish and embed best practices across DevOps maintain documentation and data lifecycle management ensuring data quality security and compliance.
- Lead people and stakeholders: Mentor a high-performing team champion innovation and partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective data solutions.
To be successful youll have:
- Strong background: Postgraduate qualifications or extensive experience in data platforms and cloud technologies or an equivalent combination.
- Customer focus: Proven ability to understand stakeholder needs and translate them into high-quality user-centric data solutions that drive measurable business value.
- Technical expertise: Experience with data engineering data warehousing and ETL/ELT tools with expertise in modern cloud platforms (e.g. Azure Databricks) and associated data tooling and architecture
- Leadership in delivery: Demonstrated experience in designing operating and modernising scalable secure enterprise data platforms.
