Job Summary
Title: Warehouse Supervisor
The Warehouse Supervisors primary responsibility is managing the day-to-day operations and Warehouse Workers duties. This includes but is not limited to directing receiving and distribution operations oversee receipt storage value-added servicing and dispatching of a variety of chemical products. Responsible for ensuring efficient and safe production of chemical distribution and chemical blending operations. Also responsible for all product inventory and procurement of warehouse supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Direct day-to-day supervision of warehouse employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include but are not limited to training employees planning assigning and directing work as well as addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Fully understands responsibilities duties and competencies of a Warehouse Worker for both training as well as back-up responsibility.
- Reviews bills of lading for incoming products and customer orders to plan work activities.
- Assigns workers to specific duties such as verifying amounts of and storing incoming products and assembling customer orders for delivery.
- Establishes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments handling and disposition of products and keeping of warehouse inventory.
- Coordinates activities of distribution warehouse with activities of sales record control and purchasing departments to ensure availability of products.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; some college or technical training related to supply chain logistics or business administration preferred
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse manufacturing or other industrial industry work experience required
- Supervisory experience highly preferred
- Chemical warehouse operations experience preferred
- Ability to demonstrate leadership skills required
- Inventory management experience highly preferred
- Procurement experience preferred
- Must be proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook Excel and Word
- Engage effectively with senior management project teams and key functional teams
- Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedures operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Must possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Comfortable speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Must be able to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. This includes the ability to compute rate ratio and percent to calculate blends.
