Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist for a short-term contract assignment in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality CT imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety equipment functionality and adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform CT imaging procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic images
Conduct daily quality control and calibration checks on CT equipment prior to patient use
Administer contrast materials or radiopharmaceuticals as per physician orders and protocols
Maintain accurate documentation including logs reports and charge entries
Perform quality assurance and safety checks in compliance with regulatory standards
Follow radiation safety protocols in alignment with ALARA principles
Manage patient imaging data and ensure availability for radiologist interpretation
Coordinate ordering receipt and verification of radiopharmaceuticals as required
Monitor and report any equipment issues promptly
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of CT experience
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Strong understanding of imaging protocols and patient safety practices
Certifications & Licensure:
New York State License (Radiologic Technologist L.R.T) required
ARRT Certification in Radiography and CT (required)
BLS Certification (required)
Preferred Skills:
Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Additional Information:
