Peer Mentor - Life Skills
Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Peer Mentor!
Peer Mentors provide specialized expertise based on sharing their own lived experience of mental health challenges with purpose and intent to inspire hope and motivation in a youth who is struggling with similar concerns.
In this important role thePeer Mentor will:
- guide youth through their treatment process providing outreach peer support and advocacy all in accordance to the clients individual service plan
- help clients gain access to recovery resources and communities
- work in coordination with the clinical team while using their recovery experience as a positive model for clients process.
Schedule: Part Time 20 hours per week
Pay Rate:
- $21.63/hour
- $22.28/hour with Peer Specialist certification

Required Skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Valid drivers license regular access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to provide transportation to persons served in personal vehicle for program related needs including but not limitedtocommunity trips and persons served transportation to and from program when needed
Required Experience
- High School Degree/GED required; Bachelors preferred
- One year experience working with target population required though experience as a consumer can be substituted
- Certification as a Peer Specialist (can be attained after hire) required
