Position: Occupational Therapist Assistant
Salary Range: $31.20 - $34.28 per hour
Hours: 32 hours per week Monday - Friday no weekend rotation
Facility: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) providing both short term and long term care
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at our Skilled Nursing Facility. Our facility provides both short term and long term care to our residents and we are committed to helping them achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life.
As an Occupational Therapist Assistant you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to our residents. Your main responsibility will be to assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans and help our residents improve their daily living and functional skills. You will also work closely with other members of the therapy team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans for residents
- Work with residents to help improve their daily living and functional skills
- Provide therapeutic interventions such as exercises activities and adaptive equipment
- Monitor and document resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Communicate effectively with residents families and other healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with other members of the therapy team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for residents
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all treatments and progress notes
- Adhere to all facility and regulatory guidelines and standards
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long term care setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Strong organizational and time management skills
