Job Summary

At Bandon Dunes every interaction is an opportunity to create a memorable experience. As a Retail Associate youll be more than just a salespersonyoull be the face of our resorts retail experience. From helping guests find the perfect souvenir to ensuring our store is always looking its best your role is vital to making sure every guest leaves with something special. This position will require some flexible but the anticipated schedule will be Friday - Tuesday.

Bandon Dunes is a world-class golf resort located on the Oregon Coast near the charming community of Bandon. Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes six distinct golf courses. That includes five 18-hole courses which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States according to Golf Digest. The resort also has an award-winning par-3 course Bandon Preserve and the new Shortys opened in 2024. The two short courses are Courses with a Mission with all net proceeds funding the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation. The Foundation supports communities along the South Coast of Oregon.

What Youll Be Doing:

Helping Guests: Learn about our merchandise and assist guests in choosing the right items. Offer personalized suggestions and help with special orders.
Handling Sales: Process payments accurately and efficiently making each transaction smooth.
Answering Phones: Answer calls politely and handle inquiries with care.
Providing Great Service: Interact with guests in a friendly way sharing information about special events and resort activities.
Managing Inventory: Help stock and organize the store create attractive displays and keep everything clean and well-stocked.
Participating in Inventory Counts: Assist in physical inventory counts at the end of the month.
Maintaining the Shop: Keep the store and storage areas clean and organized.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

Experience: At least one year in a golf shop retail or customer service environment is a plus.
Physical Stamina: Able to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
Communication Skills: Strong written verbal and interpersonal skills are essential.
Problem Solving:Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently even under pressure with minimal supervision.
Flexibility: Willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed.
Professionalism: A positive attitude professional demeanor and appearance.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to read and write in English
Effective verbal communication with colleagues and customers
Capability to follow verbal and written instructions
Visual inspection of work areas
Capacity to lift push pull stand sit walk grasp bend and kneel for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally 10 lbs frequently and 5 lbs constantly
