Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Mid-Office Mortgages professional with strong coordinating and potential team leadership this role you will operate at the center of the mortgage process ensuring smooth operations from application approval through to finalization.
This is a dynamic position within a fast-evolving environment where process improvement coaching and operational excellence are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and improve training processes for the team
- Create analyze and maintain reports and dashboards
- Handle administrative coordination (scheduling leave tracking authorizations hours checks mailbox management)
- Coordinate and manage security incidents complex requests and escalations
- Support recruitment processes and coordinate onboarding training and team guidance
- Participate in projects and cross-functional working groups
- Analyze workflows and drive continuous process improvements
- Take ownership of key focus areas such as quality coaching complaints handling risk and internal controls
Your Impact
You will play a key role in maintaining operational quality and improving processes within the mortgage mid-office function. As a senior member of the team you will act as a role model and contribute to both team development and overall service excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum HBO (Higher Professional Education) qualification
- At least 5 years of relevant experience within mortgage or financial services environments
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Coordinator or Team Lead
- Strong understanding of the mortgage mid-office process
- Strong analytical skills and numerical insight
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication and advisory abilities
- Proactive mindset with strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Customer-focused with a flexible approach
Certifications
- WFT Basic and Mortgage Credit certification required (or willingness to obtain within the first year)
Preferred Profile
- Experience working with Lean methodologies or continuous improvement frameworks
- Ability to translate market developments into actionable insights for the team
- Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities
Work Environment
- Hybrid working model
- Candidate must reside within 1 hour travel distance from the office
