An Adamah Camp Counselor is excited to share in our mission by creating and facilitating transformational experiences out in nature and has a background in sharing Jewish values or is comfortable with learning Counselors are nature-inspired creative patient kind curious good listeners playful flexible and camp day is from 9:00AM-4:00PM (bus counselors work before and after). Counselors spend the whole day outdoors leading interactive activities and assisting :Engaging campers in activities that introduce them to the natural a safe spacephysically and emotionallyfor campers through proper and leading outdoor camp activities alone or with co-counselor(s) and and participating in games pool and creek activities art workshops cooking and song up breaking down cleaning and putting away all materials used (which may require lifting more than 40lbs).Pay: $650/week ($675/week for returners) Physical Demands:Independently move 2-3 miles per day (3-4 miles per day for campers 8 years of age) over uneven terrain (mud rock grass steep inclines gravel).Be comfortable in a rustic outdoor environment with limited air-conditioning varying weather conditions (including heat cold wind rain) insects/animals and grass/dirt/:Day Camp counselors should be local (within 40 mins) to Pearlstone Retreat Center and have consistent transportation either directly to camp or to one of the Day Camp bus applicants should be responsible and enjoy working with children and spending time in job description does not state or imply that the above are the only duties and responsibilities assigned to the position.
