5x8-Hour Shifts (40 hours/week)

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to support clinical operations in a fast-paced outpatient eye care setting. This role involves performing diagnostic testing assisting physicians and ensuring efficient patient flow while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preliminary ophthalmic testing including visual fields tonometry color vision and ocular motility assessments
Assist physicians with examinations procedures and documentation
Obtain and record patient medical and personal history
Prepare patients for exams and minor procedures
Clean sterilize and prepare ophthalmic instruments
Maintain and troubleshoot ophthalmic equipment (e.g. slit lamp tonometer keratometer)
Coordinate lab tests imaging and surgical scheduling as needed
Ensure exam rooms are stocked and organized
Provide patient education and support regarding procedures and treatments
Assist with laser treatments and minor in-office procedures
Requirements:
Prior experience as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred
Experience in eye care or outpatient specialty clinics preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and accuracy in clinical tasks
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Certifications & Licensure:
Ophthalmic Technician Certification (required)
