The Operations Director is responsible for endtoend operational excellence across the lifecycle of RFID hardware and tag products from supplier sourcing and manufacturing through quality logistics and delivery to customers.
This role ensures scalable costeffective and reliable operations supporting growth margin targets and customer satisfaction in an industrial environment.
As a Leader you will be accountable for the operational performance of HID Textile Services in EMEA and APAC and coordinate with US operations by defining enhanced S&OP process making it efficient to support the Business Unit growth.
You will integrate global financial and operating plans with strategic objectives to deliver improved operating and financial results.

Essential Duties :
Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management
- Define and execute theglobal operations strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Managemanufacturing operations (inhouse and/or contract manufacturers) including
- Capacity planning.
- Yield scrap and efficiency targets.
- Process standardization and continuous improvement.
- Supplier selection qualification and dualsourcing.
- Cost negotiations and longterm agreements.
- Risk management (shortages geopolitical lead times)
Operations Performance & Cost Control
- Own COGS operational budgets and productivity targets.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives (BOM optimization sourcing leverage logistics optimization).
- Implement and track KPIs such as:
- OTD (OnTime Delivery)
- Inventory turns.
- Manufacturing yield.
- Cost variances.
- Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to balance demand supply and inventory.
Quality Compliance & Reliability
- Ensure products meet quality reliability and regulatory requirements (e.g. CE FCC RoHS REACH ISO).
- Oversee Incoming inprocess and final quality controls.
- Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Field quality issues and RMA analysis.
- Drive a builtin quality culture across operations and suppliers.
New Product Introduction (NPI) & Industrialization
- Partner with Engineering and Product Management to:
- Industrialize new hardware and tag products
- Ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT)
- Own the transition from prototype pilot mass production.
- Secure readiness across supply chain tooling test equipment and documentation.
Logistics Inventory & Order Fulfillment
- Manage global logistics warehousing and distribution.
- Optimize inventory levels while maintaining service levels.
- Ensure efficient order fulfillment and customer deliveries including international shipments.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams (manufacturing supply chain quality logistics).
- Build a culture of accountability continuous improvement and operational rigor.
- Work crossfunctionally with Engineering Product Management Finance and Customer Support.
Essential Qualifications
- To perform this role successfully candidates must meet the following requirements.
- At least 10 years of experience in operations role within large volume hardware / electronics / industrial devices company.
- Proven experience managing:
- Manufacturing (EMS/ODM or internal factories)
- Global supply chains.
- Cost and margin objectives.
- Strong exposure to NPI and industrialization of hardware products.
- Excellent interpersonal communication public speaking and presentation skills in an international environment. Ability to effectively communicate in the English language both verbally and in writing.
- Successful RFID Technology background and HW experience are a plus.
- Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies. An acute sense of Business management and administration.
- Should possess leadership qualities and managerial abilities.
- An ability to manage project leaders in system engineering.
- A strong and dedicated understanding of the clients needs andbasic requisites.
- Solid working knowledge of budgeting and strategic planning.
- Soft skills: organization autonomy team spirit leadership.
- Experience or good understanding or Oracle EBS system is a definitive plus.
Work Requirements
- Compliance with all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality Security Safety Business Continuity and Environmental systems.
- Travel and fieldwork including international travel may be required. Job Travel - 25-40% (primarily to APAC ) Therefore employee must possess or be able to acquire a valid passport.
