Schedule

• Shift: Day Shift 3 shifts/week (11.5-hour shifts)
• Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Mandatory)
• Break: 1-hour unpaid lunch per shift

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) with a strong Med/Surg background to support a high-acuity Emergency Services Adult unit. This role requires managing a high patient census handling admissions from the Emergency Department and delivering high-quality bedside care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess plan and implement individualized patient care plans
• Provide bedside care for medical and post-surgical patients
• Manage admissions from the Emergency Department
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Perform IV therapy wound care and catheter management
• Monitor vital signs and escalate changes in patient condition
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education
• Maintain accurate documentation (EPIC preferred)
• Follow infection control protocols and hospital standards

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (Required)
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg acute care experience
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience with IV therapy wound care and medication administration
• Comfortable working in high-acuity high-volume settings
• Experience with ED admissions preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Certifications

• BLS (AHA Required)
• ACLS (Preferred / Required for certain units)

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Minimum required
