In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Prepare reports for both operational sites as well as Head Office
- Assist with the standardization and streamlining of systems and processes used to gather analyze interpret and report financial / statistical data
- Prepare financial transactions in compliance with corporate policies and procedures
- Assist with the accurate and timely completion of month end close reporting
- Prepare account reconciliations
- Assist with the provision of quarterly and annual financial audit and tax reporting requirements including disclosure information
- Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business
Requirements:
- Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
- A valid Class 5 Drivers License or extra-provincial equivalent without learners restrictions is preferred
- Motivated self-starter able to prioritize work under pressure and show great attention to detail
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to multidisciplinary teams and external clients and contractors
- Superior financial skills providing overall support to the Financial Accounting or Accounts Payable departments
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Prior experience with Dynamics AX is an asset
