Job Summary
DeBra-Kuempel is seeking to fill a Senior Electrical Engineer position in our Cincinnati Ohio location. The Senior Electrical Engineer will provide advanced engineering knowledge and consultation in developing electrical system solutions for customer needs while working closely with Project Managers Electrical Estimators Field Superintendents and other engineering disciplines. Projects are wide-ranging and may include but are not limited to the following systems: power distribution building/HVAC control lighting fire alarm low-voltage systems equipment replacements and electrical infrastructure upgrades. The Senior Electrical Engineer is expected to serve as a technical leader on projects and mentor less-experienced engineers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate information and analyze problems logically to develop effective solutions
- Serve as an SME technical resource for electrical engineering design retrofits repairs and replacement projects
- Conduct field audits of electrical equipment to identify potential issues document findings and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare engineered drawings equipment selections and reports in a timely manner
- Maintain relationships with existing customers while developing new relationships
- Work collaboratively with project managers estimators superintendents and other engineering disciplines
- Develop relationships with our customers organizations which may include the facility manager project managers or purchasing agent
- Determine client needs and develop an engineered solution
- Maintain a sufficient and current knowledge of products codes and design criteria (Continuing Education)
- Follow up with project managers on the status of engineered work
- Relay prospective solutions to clients and internal managers with strong oral and written communication skills
- Encourage and incorporate feedback from clients during and after project completion
- Attend company meetings to discuss work in progress budget plans business plans and marketing plans on agreed-upon schedules
- Comply with all company operating policies procedures executed plans and programs
Qualifications
- 10 years of electrical engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in OH KY IN or the ability to gain reciprocity
- Bachelors degree in engineering
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu Excel Word & other Microsoft Office products
- Experience performing or supporting arc flash studies and infrared thermography inspections
- General knowledge of HVAC plumbing and piping systems
- Experience using Computer Aided Design (C.A.D.) programs like Revit AutoCAD
- Ability to travel up to 40% locally as well as consistent on-site support in the Columbus office
