Job Title: Registered Adult Nurse Prison Healthcare Services

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Adult Nurse looking for a unique and rewarding challenge We are seeking skilled professionals to join our healthcare team within a secure custodial environment.

About the Role
As a Registered Adult Nurse working within prison healthcare services you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care to individuals in custody. You will provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse and often complex patient population ensuring equitable access to healthcare services equivalent to those available in the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe effective and evidence-based nursing care to patients within the prison setting

• Undertake clinical assessments triage and care planning

• Provide primary care services including health promotion screening and chronic disease management

• Administer medications and treatments in line with professional guidelines

• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including GPs mental health professionals and custodial staff

• Respond to medical emergencies within the establishment

• Maintain accurate confidential patient records

Requirements

• Registered Adult Nurse (RGN) with a valid registration (NMC)

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A non-judgmental compassionate approach to care

• 6 months experience working within NHS in UK is essential

• Experience in primary care emergency care or secure settings is desirable but not essential
