Theyre now looking for a sharp ambitious CA(SA) to step into a pivotal CFO role one thats been deliberately designed as a launchpad into Senior Executive leadership.
What the job involves...
Financial Strategy & Stewardship
- Providing strategic financial leadership aligned to short- medium- and long-term business objectives
- Developing and refining financial strategies that support growth profitability and sustainability
- Overseeing budgeting forecasting and long-range financial planning across all business units
- Delivering accurate timely financial reporting to the CEO and EXCO
- Supporting cost control asset protection and procurement optimisation
- Acting as principal financial adviser to the CEO on commercial strategy capital allocation risk and growth
Financial Management BEE & Compliance
- Full responsibility for statutory financial management: cash flow working capital treasury banking tax VAT and statutory compliance
- Managing the annual BEE verification process
- Overseeing audits annual financial statements and external auditor relationships
- Implementing and maintaining robust internal controls and governance frameworks
- Implementing board requirements and shareholder transactions
Technology & Business Innovation
- Identifying evaluating and implementing technology solutions that drive efficiency and insight
- Contributing to ERP automation and business intelligence capability
- Leading digital transformation initiatives across Finance and Operations
- Staying across emerging technology trends and proactively flagging opportunities
Executive Support
- Partnering with the CEO to support the formulation of executive directives
- Translating executive decisions into enforceable operational and financial actions
- Monitoring execution and compliance across business units
- Identifying execution gaps operational risks or non-compliance and escalating appropriately
Governance Risk & Leadership
- Strengthening financial discipline payment controls and commercial rigour across the business
- Leading enterprise-level risk management across financial commercial and operational dimensions
- Mentoring the finance function and building a high-performance team culture
- Contributing actively to broader business strategy and organisational effectiveness
What you need to be considered...
- CA(SA) qualification or similar
- Up to 5 years post-articles experience with exposure to commercial finance and senior financial leadership
- Proven ability to work directly with CEOs boards or executive leadership teams (or a clear appetite to do so)
- Strong grounding in governance financial controls and risk management
- Genuinely curious about technology and comfortable evaluating and implementing solutions
- Young hungry and motivated by career trajectory and long-term value creation not just the package
- High integrity strong commercial acumen and confident executive presence
- Able to operate beyond traditional finance into broader business leadership
Bonus points if you...
- Have experience in agency services marketing media or project-based businesses
- Have exposure to group structures or multi-entity environments
- Have implemented or optimised ERP platforms automation tools or digital solutions across any function
