About Iberian Ventures (IBV)

We are a Private Equity fund focused on rollups in Spain. More than 90% of Spanish

companies are SMEs (one of the highest ratios in the EU). We believe that helping these companies to transition from SMEs to large companies creates value beyond financials and helps the development of society and the country.

We have a track record of success with more than 20 acquisitions in less than 2 years

across our two platforms:

Grupo Comavic. We created a leading distributor of poultry farm equipment.

Grupo Fire. We are building the largest Fire protection maintenance company in

Spain.

Who are you

We invite dynamic individuals eager for a 6-month full time internship as an M&A/

Investment analyst at our Barcelona office starting on June.

You should have:

Proficiency in Spanish communication English would be a plus.

Enrolled or graduated from a prominent Barcelona-based university (e.g. IESE

ESADE UPF UB UPC)

A knack for technology and proficiency in Excel and using whatever tools are needed to get the job done.

Basic understanding of financial statements (e.g. cashflow balance sheet P&L)

and ability to create models (e.g. LBOs etc.)

Willingness to dedicate the hours needed to understand new industries as well

as the financial and operational drivers of the companies that are a good fit for IBV.

You embody the core values of Iberian Ventures including swift learning a willingness to experiment and the ability to thrive in a dynamic setting. We anticipate your proactive participation in identifying potential acquisition targets structuring deals and supporting growth strategies.

This role is designed for someone who is risk-tolerant seeking more than a conventional summer internship ready to engage earnestly in building something remarkable.

What will be your role

As an M&A Intern you will be in the middle of all the action as we go and find great

companies to acquire. Just a small sample of the tasks you will drive:

Analysis of operational and financial drivers of industries

Identify suitable companies for the rollups we are executing

Company analysis and modeling through quantitative & qualitative methods

Conduct a preliminary filter of suggested companies that come from traditional

and in house developed sources as well as exhaustive due diligence of potential

candidates for a buyout.
