Job Title: Commercial Construction Scheduler / Planner
Location: Houston TX 77002 (Onsite)
Duration: Full Time
Position Overview:
Sodexo Energy & Resource is seeking a Commercial Construction Scheduler / Planner to support construction management and project controls for large-scale energy projects in Houston and other locations. The role focuses on project scheduling cost reporting and ensuring timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update project schedules on a weekly basis
- Prepare monthly schedule analysis and status reports for stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate scheduling risks impacting project timelines
- Collaborate with project teams managers and supervisors
- Improve scheduling processes tools and reporting accuracy
- Apply scheduling methodologies including:
- Critical Path Analysis
- Baseline Management
- Resource Loading
- Predecessor/Successor Relationships
- Maintain detailed project schedules and Integrated Master Schedules
Core Skills Required:
- Project Scheduling / Planning
- Primavera P6 (Project Control)
- MS Project
- Schedule & Cost Reporting
- Project Controls & Risk Mitigation
- Facilities Maintenance / Plant Operations
- MS Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint Visio Adobe)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years of Management experience
- 4 years of direct Project Control experience using Primavera P6
- 3 years of experience in Facilities Maintenance Plant Operations or Engineering Services
- Formal training in Project Scheduling techniques
- Strong knowledge of scheduling methodologies and documentation
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking ability
Key Duties:
- Construction scheduling and financial tracking
- Contractor and subcontractor management
- Quality control and safety compliance
- Project engineering and design coordination
- Administrative coordination (meetings documentation reporting)
- Stakeholder communication and client interaction
Must-Have Skills (Strict Screening):
- Primavera P6 (4 years hands-on)
- MS Project experience
- Project scheduling & documentation expertise
- Facilities / Plant / Engineering services background
- Strong MS Office proficiency
- Formal scheduling training
- 5 years in management roles
Nice to Have:
- Experience in energy or large-scale construction projects
- Certifications like PMP / PSP / PMI-SP
Experience in enterprise-level project environments
