In partnership with our client we are seeking a Content Marketer to own and scale the top of funnel growth engine for a fast-growing fashion and commerce platform based in Lagos. This is not a content production role. You will be the architect of a content ecosystem that drives demand builds cultural relevance and turns the platform into a fashion and commerce media brand in its own right. Who are we looking for
- You are a content marketing professional with 3 or more years of experience in content marketing or growth-focused roles ideally within e-commerce fintech or B2C platforms.
- You are deeply culturally aware with a sharp sense of fashion trends and audience taste and you know how to translate that awareness into content that actually resonates.
- You are a proven organic growth driver with a track record of using content to move real metrics not just produce good-looking posts.
- You are equally comfortable thinking strategically and executing at speed someone who does not wait for perfect conditions but tests learns and iterates fast.
- You are a natural community builder who understands how to turn an audience into a movement and users into evangelists.
- You are an excellent storyteller who can take a product or idea and shape it into a narrative that people want to engage with share and talk about.
- You have a strong bias for experimentation and are always asking what else could work what format has not been tried and what angle would land differently.
- You have built or scaled a personal or brand content presence and understand what it takes to make content feel native rather than forced.
Your Responsibilities
Awareness and Acquisition Strategy
- You will own the top of funnel growth strategy across all content channels designing and executing campaigns that drive organic user acquisition and measurable business results.
- You will identify and capitalize on cultural moments trends and conversations turning them into timely content that positions the brand at the centre of what its audience cares about.
- You will translate product value into high-converting narratives that speak to the right people in the right way at the right time.
Social Media and Content Engine
- You will lead the brands presence across key platforms including Twitter Instagram and TikTok building a distinct brand voice that feels native sharp and culturally aware.
- You will develop and manage a high-performance content calendar continuously testing formats hooks and storytelling angles to find what drives the most growth.
Community Building
- You will build and nurture a highly engaged community of buyers and sellers turning users into content creators and brand evangelists who drive community-led growth loops.
- You will drive conversations user-generated content and organic engagement that compounds over time and strengthens the brands presence in its category.
Editorial and Owned Media
- You will own the blog and newsletter strategy creating content that blends fashion culture and commerce in a way that positions the brand as a category-defining platform not just an app.
- You will use storytelling to build a media presence that gives the brand a distinct point of view and a loyal audience beyond its core users.
Growth and Performance
- You will track and optimise for key metrics including reach engagement customer acquisition cost and conversions using insights to continuously refine messaging channels and content strategy.
- You will collaborate closely with the product and growth teams to ensure content is always aligned with product goals and broader business objectives.
What Success looks like
- The brand becomes recognisable and talked about within its target audience within the first six months with clear evidence of growing organic reach and brand awareness.
- A measurable increase in organic user acquisition and conversion directly attributable to content activity.
- A strong and engaged community forming around the brand with users actively creating content sharing their experiences and championing the platform to others.
- A consistent pipeline of high-performing culturally relevant content across all key channels with a clear and distinctive brand voice that feels native on every platform.
To be considered for this role you should have
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in content marketing or a growth-focused role.
- Proven experience driving organic growth through content ideally within e-commerce fintech or B2C platforms.
- Deep understanding of social media dynamics internet culture and what makes content perform on each platform.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills with the ability to craft narratives that resonate with a fashion-forward digitally native audience.
- A fashion-aware sensibility with a clear sense of style trends and audience taste.
- Experience building or scaling a personal or brand content presence is a strong advantage.
