Job Summary

Ensuring a sustainable NSW through climate change and energy action water management environment and heritage conservation and protection.

  • Three (3) temporary roles (12 months with possibility to extend) full-time opportunities.
  • Parramatta office location hybrid working supported regional locations will be considered if an office is available.
  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $134421 to $148239 pa plus super

This is a senior opportunity to lead the design and delivery of climate change sustainability and net zero emissions initiatives that make a tangible difference across business government and household sectors.

What youll do

As Senior Project Officer you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of complex projects within broader programs shaping program design overseeing delivery guiding evaluation and continuous improvement and ensuring initiatives deliver strong outcomes and value for public expenditure.

You will work in a fastpaced policydriven environment leading multidisciplinary teams managing risks and interdependencies and working closely with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

This role suits an experienced professional who enjoys working in complexity strategic problemsolving and is motivated by delivering outcomes that support longterm environmental and community benefits.

What Youll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex programs or portfolios of projects ideally in a policy sustainability climate change reporting or infrastructure environment.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external partners and contractors.
  • Proven ability to navigate complexity manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in highvolume evolving environments.
  • Welldeveloped stakeholder engagement skills including experience managing sensitive or complex consultations with diverse interests.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to identify issues manage interdependencies and develop practical implementable solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing highquality advice reports and briefings for senior decisionmakers.
  • Superior knowledge of the operational requirements for successful delivery of sustainability climate change resilience adaptation and/or net zero emissions programs. Knowledge of climate change finance and funding flows highly desirable.
  • Proven ability in delivering stakeholders to act on delivering sustainability outcomes.
  • Experience in delivering projects and ensuring outcomes are achieved on time on budget and to quality standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Sound knowledge of the operational requirements for successful delivery of sustainability climate change resilience adaptation and/or net zero emissions programs.
  • Proven ability in delivering stakeholders to take action on delivering sustainability outcomes.

Experience in taking the lead to deliver projects and ensuring outcomes are achieved on time on budget and to quality standards.

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
