Ruah is proud to have been appointed by the Mental Health Commission to deliver the Community Supported Residential Units (CSRU) program reflecting a sustained investment in stable highquality residential mental health support in regional Western Australia through to June 2028.

About the Role

The Support Coordinator Community Supported Residential Units (CSRU) is a frontline recoveryfocused role supporting people with complex mental health needs to improve wellbeing independence and participation in the community.

Working under the guidance of the Team Lead you will build strong strengthsbased relationships with clients and their supports develop and deliver individual recovery plans and advocate with and on behalf of clients to address broader social health and wellbeing needs.

The role involves case management activities including documentation referrals coordination of appointments and proactive engagement with people who may be highly disengaged from services. You will work closely with Peer Recovery Workers and the broader team to deliver holistic personcentred support.

This role must meet the criteria of an Approved Supervisor under the Hospitals (Licensing and Conduct of Private Psychiatric Hostels) Regulations 1997 (WA) and maintain appropriate training and understanding of residential service operations.

This is a fulltime fixedterm position offered on an initial maximum term contract of 24 months with the possibility of extension subject to ongoing funding and operational requirements.

  • Relevant qualification(s) in mental health community services or a related discipline
  • Experience providing recoveryoriented clientcentred support
  • Strong alignment with Ruahs purpose vision and values
  • Welldeveloped case management report writing and reflective practice skills
  • Ability to engage with people experiencing complex and chaotic life circumstances
  • Strong organisational and timemanagement skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peer workers and multidisciplinary teams
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and client systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of diversity inclusion and Aboriginal culture

Mandatory requirements

  • Current drivers licence
  • WA Working with Children Check
  • National Police Certificate
  • International Police Clearance (if applicable)
  • First Aid Certificate
