Trainee Freight Forwarder
Bradford or Mercia Park DE12
Mon-Fri 37.5 hours per week

DSV is recruiting for a Trainee Freight Forwarder at Mercia Park or Bradford working within the Irish department. We are looking for an individual with an interest in a career in Freight and the desire to learn! After completing a successful probationary period youll have the opportunity to join our Young DSV programme designed to support your development and understanding of logistics on a global scale.

What will you be doing

Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service across both Import and Export shipments
Liaise professionally with customers overseas offices and internal colleagues via phone and email
Update check and maintain accurate shipment information within DSV systems (full system training will be provided)
Plan and coordinate export trailers for Northern Ireland and Ireland
Provide timely Proof of Delivery (POD) to customers and overseas offices upon completion of shipments
Investigate resolve and follow up on customer and operational queries to ensure prompt resolution of any issues
Monitor shipments closely following up on collections and deliveries
Complete general administrative duties accurately


About You

A strong customer focused mindset with clear and confident communication skills
Reliable and punctual with a consistent approach to meeting responsibilities
Good IT skills with the ability and willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new systems
High attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and apply practical problem solving solutions
An adaptable and flexible approach able to respond positively to changing priorities and operational demands
