Definition VIE

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy Finance and Employment open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals plus Norway Iceland and Liechtenstein). Candidates meeting these criteria and interested in a VIE please register before your 28th birthday on the website . For graduates who would be interested in a career with Airbus this could be the start of a rewarding future in a dynamic and forward-thinking sector.

Your location

At our Donauwörth site located on the banks of the river Danube we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • achieve project objectives (time scope cost quality) to customer satisfaction in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations

  • define implement and drive a project team/organization all along the project phases including people coming from other functions (matrix organizations)

  • Lean Management as well as analysis and optimization of existing processes including logistic flows

  • support of innovation and improvement projects in final assembly lines including hangar planning and workplace optimization

  • preparation of decision matrix and implementation of new projects

  • analysis and optimization of assembly processes

  • digitalization

Desired skills and qualifications

  • university degree in aerospace- mechanical- electrical- production engineering or a comparable field of study

  • first practical experience within project management

  • experience in an industrial environment would be an advantage

  • good knowledge in MS Office

  • team spirit confident appearance good communication skills and structured way of working

  • English: fluent German would be a plus
