Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Public Service Administrator Bureau of Early Intervention Early Intervention Services Unit Manager serves as the statewide liaison on Early Intervention (EI) policies and procedures for Regional Intake Entities and Providers. Plans coordinates and oversees assigned EI program operations and the resolution of provider concerns and issues to support consistent compliant and effective service delivery.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as the Early Intervention Liaison.
  • Assists supervisor and other staff with special projects assignments or initiatives to be implemented with the Bureau.
  • Serves as a program liaison between Intake Entities Providers and the Bureau regarding program outcome measures resolution of provider concerns and issues (for example provider claims credentialing and assistive technology appeals) corrective action plans and in assisting Intake Entities and Providers to achieve optimal service delivery of EI services.
  • Supports the goals and objectives of EI programs for Intake Entities and Providers.
  • Supports the assistive technology prior approval process to ensure it is consistent with state/federal requirements.
  • Confirms all program activities and functions at the local level align with program operations of the Bureau Division Department and other agencies and partners.
  • Participates in training as necessary to strengthen both staff and the Division.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college with course work in business or public administration.
  • Requires one (1) year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization OR completion of an agency sponsored training program.

Specialized Skills

  • Of the one (1) year responsible administrative experience requires one (1) year of professional experience in administering formal review appeals or dispute resolution processes involving provider or service delivery matters preferably within an early childhood or human services program such as IDEA Part C Early Intervention childcare child welfare or a related system.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of professional experience in administering formal review appeals or dispute resolution processes involving provider or service delivery matters preferably within an Early Childhood or human services program such as IDEA Part C Early Intervention childcare child welfare or a related system.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience providing multifaceted technical assistance to stakeholders/providers regarding the development maintenance and evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of policies procedures and guidelines related to the implementation of human services public health maternal child health social work early childhood education/development and/or related programs which includes webinars and trainings as it relates to program implementation.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in human services public health maternal child health social work early childhood education/development and/or related programs and systems at a public or private organization.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience communicating (orally and in writing) in a clear and concise manner with diverse internal and external stakeholders and providers.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in utilizing strong organizational interpersonal problem-solving skills and is detailed oriented.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in exercising judgment and discretion in reviewing developing implementing and interpreting policies and procedures.

Work Hours:Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm 1-hour unpaid lunch.
