Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic Plant Operations
Rome Health is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our Plant Operations team. This position helps keep our hospital buildings and equipment safe working and well-maintained.
The right candidate will have hands-on experience with basic building maintenance be comfortable running snow removal equipment and have solid mechanical skills. Youll handle a variety of repair and maintenance tasks across the hospital and our satellite locations with support and training from experienced mechanics when needed.
What youll do:
- Perform general maintenance and repair work on buildings and equipment
- Help keep hospital facilities safe and in good working order
- Operate snow removal equipment during winter months
- Work at the main hospital and other Rome Health locations
- Take part in scheduled weekends and on-call rotation
What were looking for:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid New York State Drivers License
- Mechanical ability and hands-on maintenance experience
- Building trade classes or training are a plus
This is a full-time position. Some weekends and on-call work are required.
