Job Summary

The Department of Modern Languages at the University of the Fraser Valley invites applicants for a sessional instructor appointment in Japanese language courses. The successful applicant will be able to teach courses at all levels in Japanese.

Qualifications

The successful applicant must have fluency in Japanese and a graduate level degree (eg. MA or equivalent) preferably in Japanese language literature and culture. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a PhD. We are seeking a collegial energetic and innovative individual who has successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level and who communicates effectively with students both in and out of the classroom; and can develop new and innovative modes of delivery. A good knowledge of Brightspace is an asset.

- original syllabi for a 100-level Japanese language course
