Sr. Metallurgical Engineer and Quality -Cop USA LLC. Kansas City Missouri.Develop and manage lab scale tests to categorize ores and analyzeprocessing options. Operate laboratory and full-scaleflotation reagent tests. Perform product development testingon customer sites. Manage troubleshoot and improve grindingmedia and process control systems. Consult with customers onthe proprietary metallurgical operation of large-scale comminutioncircuits including media size and grinding mill setup. Actas an important technical resource for our customers who requireonsite visits for methodological purposes. Advise customerson operational changes new projects optimizations and resolvingnon-conformities. Oversee the operation of large-scalecomminution circuits and conduct on-site customer proprietary simulation programs to evaluate comminutioncircuits to include SAG ball and regrind circuits media sizingand mill liner designs. Oversee client development byconducting comparative product testing against information as the point of contact for proprietaryprocess including manufacturing processes and capabilities ourinterdependent supply chain product packaging options and methodsand quality process. Prepare and analyze overviews on productperformance grinding media mill rejects and historical and budgetusage. Present sales forecasts prepare market updates andprovide competitive analysis of our unique products. Developtechnical reports and training manuals for customers. Requires:Bachelors degree in Metallurgy Chemistry Chemical EngineeringMineral Engineering or a closely related degree. 5 years ofexperience in any metallurgical engineering and mineral processingrole in the mining industry. 5 years of experience with large-scalecomminution circuits for mining operations. 5 years of experiencewith grinding mill setups and operations at mining sites. 5 yearsof experience in metallurgical laboratory work performing grindingtesting including Work Index Abrasion Index and mineralpreparation; and flotation testing focused on reagent screeningoptimal reagent dosage and evaluating flotation conditions. 5years of experience managing vendor relationships in the miningindustry. Demonstrated knowledge of grinding media including SAG(semi-autonomous grinding) balls and ball milling. Position basedin Tucson Arizona. Work from home available from anylocation within normal commuting distance from Tucson be required to visit domestic and international client sites80% of the time.
