Were looking for a Project Advisor to support our Aboriginal Employee Experience (AEX) Team playing a key role in delivering initiatives that strengthen cultural safety inclusion and Aboriginal workforce outcomes across the department.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys coordination organisation and project support and who is motivated by work that makes a real positive difference.

This is a targeted role under GSE Rule 26 and Aboriginal people are encouraged to apply.

About You

What youll bring to the role:

  • Experience in an administrative project HR or corporate support role
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Confidence preparing clear accurate documents and working with data or spreadsheets
  • A collaborative respectful communication style
  • Sound judgement discretion and attention to detail
  • A genuine commitment to inclusion cultural awareness and public sector values

Experience supporting projects events or workforce initiatives is desirable as is exposure to surveys reporting and data analysis.

The Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water(DCCEEW) works to protect the states environment and heritage. It leads the way on climate change driving the sustainable transition to a net zero economy powered by affordable reliable and clean energy.

DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.

DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.

We acknowledge the ongoing custodial responsibilities of the Aboriginal peoples of NSW to care for Country and water and are committed to establishing meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal peoples in the management of the environment.
