Our Opportunity

To support our ongoing growth NEPEAN Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join and lead the existing team of project managers. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Prestons NSW.

Your daily duties will include however not be limited to:

• Team leadership and project delivery: Lead the existing team of project managers provide support as required and manage assigned project packages to achieve time cost quality and safety objectives.
• Project controls: Monitor and control project schedules budgets and quality standards and report on progress at regular intervals.
• Documentation: Prepare project documentation as required including Project Execution Plans Inspection Test Plans and Project Schedules.
• Stakeholder engagement: Liaise with internal stakeholders including sales engineering operations and site teams as well as external customers consultants contractors suppliers and planning authorities.
• Procurement and delivery oversight: Oversee procurement manufacture factory acceptance testing delivery installation and construction activities to ensure workmanship and schedules meet project requirements.
• Quality and site management: Monitor the quality and quantity of incoming equipment and materials review drawings and specifications against site plans and conditions coordinate corrections or modifications where needed and carry out site inspections.
• Problem solving: Identify and resolve project issues in a timely and practical manner.
• Supplier and subcontractor management: Identify assess and support the onboarding of suppliers or subcontractors required to deliver the project scope.
• Continuous improvement: Evaluate and recommend new project systems processes and techniques.

The Right Person

To be considered for this unique opportunity you will have:

• Qualifications and experience: Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and/or trade qualifications supported by proven project management experience.
• Industry background: Strong experience in manufacturing with estimating experience in heavy fabrication and machining environments highly desirable.
• Project delivery capability: A strong track record in the successful end-to-end delivery of technical projects.
• Safety and quality focus: A strong commitment to safety a customer-focused mindset and a clear understanding of the importance of quality.
• Communication and collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Organisation and time management: Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
