Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruitingfor Night Support on a fixed term part-time or casual basis to provide support to students who live in a hall of residence.

You will assist the Night Manager or Tumuaki taupuni - Head of Hall ensuring they work to scope and are confident in their role and a unique skill will be your ability to engage with a diverse range of residents many away from home for the first time.

The role has a focus onthe health welfare and safety of residents security of the buildings and provision ofsupport assistance and guidance to rosteredResidential Advisers. You may have experience in the health or accommodation sectors.

Ō pūmanawa - About you

You will support the Night Manager and the Hall team to ensure the hall operates smoothly and student safety and security is maintained.

Key requirements:

• Enjoy working with young people from a range of cultures and backgrounds who are transitioning to independence in a communal living environment.
• Be an approachable and trusted person who is able to manage and escalate a range of wellbeing and behavioural situations with skill and care.
• Have proficient computer skills including using database and reporting systems.
• A cleandriverslicense.
