Ruah is proud to have been appointed by the Mental Health Commission to deliver the Community Supported Residential Units (CSRU) program reflecting a sustained investment in stable highquality residential mental health support in regional Western Australia through to June 2028.

About the Role

The Engagement Worker Community Supported Residential Units (CSRU) provides handson assertive support to residents with complex mental health and psychosocial needs helping them improve wellbeing stability and participation in the community.

In this frontline role you will support residents with daily living tasks contribute to assessments and intakes when required and implement a range of recoveryfocused and practical interventions aligned with individual needs and care plans. You will work closely with the Team Lead and broader multidisciplinary team to monitor service delivery and escalate concerns where more intensive support is required.

The role requires working in a traumainformed and culturally safe manner with a strong focus on duty of care relationshipbuilding and consistent engagement. You may be required to undertake sleep shifts as part of the Approved Supervisor arrangements for the service.

This is a fulltime fixedterm position offered on an initial maximum term contract of 24 months with the possibility of extension subject to ongoing funding and operational requirements.

What were looking for

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• At least two (2) years experience working in a residential or similar support setting
• Completion of a relevant qualification (minimum Certificate III)
• Ability to build and maintain respectful professional relationships with people with complex needs
• Experience working with people impacted by mental illhealth homelessness AOD use or family and domestic violence
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
• Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
• Emotional maturity resilience and the ability to model positive behaviours
• Competency using Microsoft Office and client reporting systems
• Understanding of diversity inclusion and Aboriginal culture

Desirable

• Understanding of food safety standards and regulations

Mandatory requirements

• Current drivers licence
• WA Working with Children Check
• National Police Certificate
• International Police Clearance (if applicable)
• First Aid Certificate
