About the role
The role supports the delivery of compliance activities and the implementation of Work Health and Safety (WHS) programs and reporting to enable successful WHS program delivery legislative compliance and strategic improvement.

About you
- Knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles legislative and regulatory requirements and risk management practices.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to compile interpret and report data and statistics related to WHS compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships and provide clear guidance in WHS matters.
- Experience in supporting the development and implementation of WHS programs including training and awareness campaigns.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills for preparing maintaining and managing records reports and correspondence to support compliance and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Departments Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Departments Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education.
- Certificate IV in Work Health Safety or similar discipline

Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires as long as you remain in a nonchild-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
