Position Summary
We are seeking a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our growing behavioral health department. This role offers a unique best of both worlds opportunity: a primary focus on high-impact outpatient care while serving as Core Faculty for our Psychiatry Residency Program.
As we expand our continuum of care the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape and transition into our upcoming Inpatient Child & Adolescent unit providing a clear path for professional growth and clinical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence (Outpatient)
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and consultations for children and adolescents.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including medication management and integrated therapeutic approaches.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of social workers psychologists and pediatricians to ensure holistic patient care.
- Participate in the strategic planning and eventual launch of the Inpatient C&Aservice line.
Academic & Faculty Leadership
- Serve as Core Faculty for the Psychiatry Residency Program maintaining compliance with ACGME requirements.
- Provide direct clinical supervision and mentorship to residents and fellows during their C&A rotations.
- Develop and deliver didactic lectures on child development pediatric psychopharmacology and adolescent pathology.
- Engage in scholarly activity including clinical research quality improvement projects or curriculum development.
Qualifications
- Education: MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine.
- Training: Completion of an ACGME-accredited General Psychiatry Residency and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship.
- Licensure: Board Certified (BC) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Must hold an unrestricted state medical license.
- Experience:Previous experience in an academic setting or a strong desire to teach and mentor the next generation of physicians is highly preferred.
- Develop and deliver didactic lectures on child development pediatric psychopharmacology and adolescent pathology.
- Engage in scholarly activity including clinical research quality improvement projects or curriculum development.
