Position Summary/Primary Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President & CEO the Director of Strategy and Integration serves as a trusted strategic and operational partner ensuring alignment of the President & CEOs priorities across this highly visible role the Director of Strategy and Integration leads in the areas of strategic planning facilities integration board and executive coordination and special projects. Partnering closely with Leadership Team colleagues the Director fosters cross-functional collaboration convenes and leads key teams and committees aligns organizational resources with our strategic plan and supervises assigned staff.
This is a highly collaborative position and coordinates with a variety of internal and external teams and position requires a high level of independence and sound judgment discretion and confidentiality and the ability to lead and participate in diverse teams.

- Serves as a member of the Leadership Team. Support senior leadership meeting planning and documentation including agendas and meeting notes.
- Act as the lead for high-stakes time-sensitive initiatives assigned by the CEO providing dedicated stewardship and project management for priority organizational goals.
- Serve as a cross-departmental coordinator on behalf of the CEO to ensure consistency and alignment across departments.
- Act as the lead for integrating Maine Publics new Portland facility into the organization coordinating with departments on event management and community partnerships.
- Works with the CEO to evaluate the future of the Lewiston facility.
- Manage strategic planning researching potential methods and vendors and implementing a process for developing the next strategic plan.
- Serve as liaison with other public media organizations on collaboration discussions.
- Supervise assigned staff providing ongoing feedback and guidance.
- Assist the CEO with coordinating Board of Trustees engagement and activities; help set the agenda and schedule for Board and Committee meetings.
- Maintains compliance with applicable laws regulations policies and best practices.
- Analyzes and maintains confidential records and data.
- Maintains up-to-date written procedures helps train others as needed presents and shares information.

Education/Experience/Training/Skills Required:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Masters degree preferred.
- At least 8 years of leadership experience required; high-level project management experience in broadcasting and/or public media preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in media or public broadcasting industry or acting as a consultant on major strategic planning projects required.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience with budget responsibility.
- Knowledge of public media rules and regulations required including FCC.
- Polished communication and presentation skills; has led discussions with boards lawyers public officials regulatory agencies and other key influencers.
- Thorough understanding of business administration management and business forecasting strategies and techniques.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and mediation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
