A growing organization in the manufacturing distribution and food sectors is seeking a driven Sales Representative / Account Manager to manage and expand a defined territory. This role is responsible for developing new business maintaining existing client relationships and driving revenue growth across industrial commercial and food-related accounts.
The ideal candidate is a hunter-mentality sales professional who can also nurture long-term relationships understands technical or regulated products and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and grow a territory by identifying and securing new business opportunities
Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers ensuring high levels of satisfaction
Conduct client visits presentations and product demonstrations
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing and account management
Collaborate with internal teams (operations logistics customer service) to ensure smooth order fulfillment
Provide pricing quotes and product recommendations based on customer needs
Track sales activity pipeline and customer data using CRM/ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
Stay informed on market trends competitor activity and industry developments
Attend industry events trade shows and networking opportunities
Qualifications
3 years of B2B sales account management or business development experience
Experience in manufacturing distribution food chemicals or industrial products is required
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Strong communication negotiation and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems (NetSuite a plus)
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel
Preferred Experience
Background selling into food manufacturing food ingredients raw materials or chemical/industrial markets
Experience working with ERP systems and sales reporting tools
Established relationships within manufacturing food production or industrial sectors
