Job Summary

Position Overview

A growing organization in the manufacturing distribution and food sectors is seeking a driven Sales Representative / Account Manager to manage and expand a defined territory. This role is responsible for developing new business maintaining existing client relationships and driving revenue growth across industrial commercial and food-related accounts.

The ideal candidate is a hunter-mentality sales professional who can also nurture long-term relationships understands technical or regulated products and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced performance-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a territory by identifying and securing new business opportunities
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers ensuring high levels of satisfaction
  • Conduct client visits presentations and product demonstrations
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing and account management
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations logistics customer service) to ensure smooth order fulfillment
  • Provide pricing quotes and product recommendations based on customer needs
  • Track sales activity pipeline and customer data using CRM/ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Stay informed on market trends competitor activity and industry developments
  • Attend industry events trade shows and networking opportunities

Qualifications

  • 3 years of B2B sales account management or business development experience
  • Experience in manufacturing distribution food chemicals or industrial products is required
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems (NetSuite a plus)
  • Valid drivers license and willingness to travel

Preferred Experience

  • Background selling into food manufacturing food ingredients raw materials or chemical/industrial markets
  • Experience working with ERP systems and sales reporting tools
  • Established relationships within manufacturing food production or industrial sectors
